Llanymynech Golf Club
Our clubhouse is built around an old cottage that once stood alone on the hill, several additions later and we now have a comfortable clubhouse with a great atmosphere. Nevertheless, we are mindful of its age and it was never designed to accommodate the eight hundred plus members that we presently have and plans are in motion to construct a new premises in the very near future. It doesn't deter the members from enjoying themselves and we have a full programme of social events running throughout the year which are always well supported.
The club professional, Andy Griffiths has been with the club well in excess of thirty years and has been instrumental in the development of many of the present members of the club as well as Ian Woosnam in his early days. He is assisted by two other staff in the shop and they are also able to provide golfing lessons for all levels of players at very reasonable costs. A full array of golf equipment and clothing is available from the shop and they are also responsible for the hire of the six buggies that we have available and payment of green fees from visitors.
Full catering facilities are offered for visitors and whilst we can only comfortably seat forty people in the dining room at any one time, we are able to cater for over one hundred people using a rolling programme. Details of our menu are available on the website and special dietary needs are always catered for.
